Riddle 20

I regret,
not rising.

I regret,
not receiving.

I regret,
not coming to the point.

The objects of my sloping attention,
Are set on rails. Do you know what I mean?

They will never meet,
though they still may form a team.

I regret……………………………

………………… but I’m not sorry!

  1. LOL! Very neat Thomas! Am I a ‘parallel of declination’?

I don’t rise – either obliquely or otherwise, in fact I turn down all invitations, especially receptions.

My glyph is two straight sloping lines. But I can’t think what point it is that I never come to.

    Nice one!

  2. For this riddle I knew the answer.
If Caro replied before I could do, it’s just because she woke up earlier because of her meridian :)))

Next time I will wake up earlier than her!!!!

  3. Hello Caroline,

    Excellent!

By definition parallel lines do not share a common point, so they can’t come to the point (unless of course it is at infinity).

    Glad you liked the riddle!

    Love,
    Thomas

  4. But Gjiada, my meridian is West of you! For me to wake up earlier than you I would have had to have woken up yesterday! 😉

    Love

    CarO

P.S. “The early bird may catch the parallels, but the second mouse gets the cheese”.
